One costing engine from quotation to settlement.

Switch between quote and settlementReplica with sample data.
What it does
- Recipe yields and independent costing checks.
- Dated supplier prices.
- Quotation and settlement from one engine.
- Variance reporting with an explanation of the cause.
Prices keep their date
A supplier price is stored with the date it was valid. A margin calculated in September reads the same in December, even after prices move.
Yield loss is applied per preparation step, and purchase units convert per product, so the cost of a portion reflects what the kitchen actually buys and trims.
Settlement you can explain
Because the quotation and the settlement come from the same engine, the difference between them is a query, not a month-end reconciliation across three exports. Each variance points to a cause: guest count, a price change, a menu change, waste.
Your costs, prices and margins stay private to your workspace. They stay private to your team.
Can Caterfold send the quotation to the client?
Yes, when the client works in event.clinic, quotes and invoices can go through the event.clinic hub. That connection is in development. Your internal costs stay in Caterfold.
What does Caterfold show about margin?
Where the margin went on each function, cause by cause. We publish savings figures once real customers have measured them.
